Sponsorship and Charities

COOL pilates is pleased to sponsor local athletes and dancers working at an elite level. Currently we are sponsoring Helen Russell a Bromsgrove based international triathlete.

Additionally we award an annual Dance Prize the COOLpilates prize for dance performance to a graduate of Wolverhampton University.

Our favourite charity is WATERAID. Last year we supported The Beechboys on their epic row across the Atlantic to raise money for WATERAID.

On Jan 4 2010 Norman and James Beech alias The Beechboys set out on the arduous task of rowing from La Gomera, in the Canary Is., to Antigua, in the West Indies. A journey of 3,000 miles. Their heroic journey was in aid of the charity Wateraid and specifically to raise money for villages in Tanzania. My friendship and association with Norman goes back a long way to when I was a 23 year dance lecturer and he was a first year student of PE at the University of Birmingham. So when Norman asked if COOL pilates would sponsor Wateraid I agreed.
